Charminar
One of the city’s major landmark, this 180 feet architectural monument is synonymous with Hyderabad. It gets its name from the four majestic minarets that tower up with pride. Charminar is also referred to as the ‘Arc de Triumph of the East’.

Chowmahalla Palace
Built over 200 years ago, Chowmahalla Palace is renowned for its unique style and elegance, and is a combination of many architectural styles and influences. The highlight of the palace is the Grand Khilwat, the Durbar Hall. The sheer magnificence of the place is breath-taking. The Courtyard is a vast expanse of lush green lawns and picturesque water tanks and fountains.

Salar Jung Museum
The museum boasts of the largest private collection of antiques in the world. Named after the Nizam’s Prime Minister, Nawab Mir Tulab Ali Khan who was titled Salar Jung Bahadur in 1853 this is one of the city’s major attractions.

Birla Planetarium
Birla Planetarium is India’s most modern Planetarium and the first of its kind in the country. Built on a hill called Naubat Pahad it is equipped with state-of-the-art technology.

Other Attractions
Snow World – world’s biggest and India’s only snow themed park is a must visit for kids and adults. The city of pearls is also popular for its beautiful gardens and parks. Lumbini Park with its musical fountain and laser show is a big hit with the tourists. Others that deserve a visit are NTR Gardens, Sanjeevaiah Park and Nehru Zoological Park. Also close to the city is the magnificent 13th Century Golconda Fort built by the Kakatiyas.

Festivals
Hyderabad is a melting pot of culture. People of all religions and communities coexist in close harmony. Festivals like Id, Ugadhi, Diwali and Vinayak Chaturthi are celebrated by all.

Food
Once in the City, the world renowned Hyderabadi cuisine is a must try, Biryani being the hot favourite.
